If the transaction is local, you may want to arrange for a local delivery or pickup between the two parties. Be courteous and respectful to the other party and arrange in a timely and convenient manner. While most people have good intentions, remember GiveBack Market does not screen its users in any way and cannot control their intentions, so always put safety first and don’t do anything that makes you uncomfortable. You can always arrange a meeting in a public place. You can also bring a friend. If you have trouble arranging delivery you may contact GiveBack Market to report the issue.
If the transaction is not local or it’s more convenient, you may want to ship the item. Shipping costs are not handled through GiveBack Market in any way and are the responsibility of the buyer and seller to agree on. The seller may simply ship the item to the address the buyer provides and absorb the cost. Alternatively, the two parties can work out a way for the buyer to reimburse the seller for a shipping cost, outside of GiveBack Market.
We recommend the seller puts their preferred delivery method here. This could be things like: “Local pickup only”, “I am willing to deliver locally”, “Service must be used by X date”, “I will pay for shipping”, or “I require reimbursement for shipping.”
Once a sale occurs, GiveBack Market will provide the buyer and seller a means of communication with each other to arrange delivery (note that payment happens through GiveBack Market's third-party payment processor, Stripe, at the time of purchase). It is expected that both parties will be courteous and timely and respond to each other within 24 hours. Once delivery is agreed it is expected that the transaction will be completed as soon as possible but no later than 7 days.
Proceeds from sales are not released to the non-profit until after 30 days and there are no posted complaints from the buyer within that time period. If there is a dispute the buyer is to notify GiveBack Market of the issue within 30 days of purchase with a detailed description of the issue. GiveBack Market will then attempt to help moderate the dispute, though we cannot guarantee resolution. GiveBack Market has the right to cancel and reverse a transaction (less any fees) and also has the right to release proceeds to the non-profit even if the buyer dispute has not been resolved.
